Flue Gather and Register Plate

Designed to fit your chimney
Most Camelot fires are fitted to an existing chimney and fireplace. Our woodburning Thermovent convector fire is supplied with a gather to reduce the fire size down to a standard 8 inch (200mm) round flue. This enables our fires to easily connect to a modern or re-lined chimney. If neither of these will be present at the time of fitting, a register plate is required to bring the cross section of your chimney above the chimney brest or lintle down to this size.

Increased efficiency & control

A Thermovent flue gather does much more than just coax the smoke and gases away from the fire. Using a series of carefully designed baffles, the gather enables the fire to burn more efficiently, thus improving its environmental performance. In addition, a series of heat exchange convector plates extract more heat from the gather and pass these to the air in the room. Finally the gather houses the flue baffle, which enables you to control the burn of the fire and achieve maximum efficiency.

Bespoke register plates

We won't cover register plates in detail here as you may not need one. It's a bit like a mobile phone company telling you how to install a blue tooth hands free kit; you probably won't need to use the phone in your car. Suffice to say, if required, each one has to be installed to suit your specific fireplace by a qualified installation engineer. But once it's in you'll never see it or know its there.
