TRUST IN OUR KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE OF FIREPLACE RESTORATION & OPENFIRE INSTALLATION

SUPPORTING CUSTOMERS ALL OVER THE UK

Open fires are a specialist area. Much of the knowledge and skill that used to exist around the UK has been lost with the rise of gas, electric and stoves as alternative heat sources. You might have a classic fireplace installation that doesn’t give enough heat, an ancient dog grate that has recently started to smoke or maybe want a beautiful canopy made for you – whichever it is we are here to help you.

It gives us great satisfaction helping private clients realise their vision of their very own open fire, while also taking away the stress and headache of a fireplace installation for our architect or contractor customers.

As each piece we create is made to order, over the last 10 years we have developed a really reliable way to help our clients explore design options and arrive at a detailed design and specification we can create. To find out more, visit our enquiries page…..

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

We had nearly given up hope of finding a suitable open fire for our antique French marble fireplace when I came across the Camelot website. Paul and his father were able to overcome all the problems and create a fire to fit our fire surround which none of the previous companies had offered to do.
Sue, Cambridgeshire

USE OUR PASSION TO ACHIEVE YOUR OPEN FIRES VISION

At Camelot we understand the frustration many of our customers have experienced trying to find people who are willing to say ‘yes’ to their request to keep or create an open fire. It’s our passion that shows through when we meet customers who, like us, just love open fires – even if they already have a woodburner in the other room.

Going the extra mile to restore a 450 year old open fireplace to working order, grafting a clients favourite dog irons on to one of our Thermovents or even designing an entirely new ‘Twin Skin‘ canopy solution demonstrates our commitment to open fires. We believe open fires are part of the heritage of the United Kingdom as they are in many other countries, so whilst they will always be for occasional or supplementary heating, we are here to help keep open fires alive, safe and operating with as minimal environmental impact as possible.

At Camelot we really do understand the science and application of open fires – particularly within a period or listed property setting. Thats why we are able to give confident answers to our clients whether they are private or commercial.

Thatched Property specialists

Owning a thatched property is a privilege and a passion. Having a classic fireplace restoration is the aspiration of many and it is clearly the case that open fires pose much less of a risk to a thatched property than a woodburning stove.

Thatched properties offer many challenges these days but having an open fire that works and your insurer will be happy with needn’t be one of them. We have a number of options we can offer including our Thermovent open fire which is well suited to these situations. Fireplace construction and chimney specification in a thatched property is a unique situation often requiring determination and innovation to find a solution.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

I can thoroughly recommend Paul and his team at Camelot Real Fires. The service was professional and courteous throughout and their products are second to none.
Chris, Hertfordshire

BEING HANDS ON MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
At Camelot we’re hands on whether it is designing a new fire or fireplace, making a canopy or playing our part in an installation solution.

Paul Shaw, the second generation owner of Camelot, is personally involved in each project and designs everything that we make. He is also a HETAS approved installer.

It’s this closeness to the services and products we offer that enables us to connect with all our customers and seek out solutions on their behalf.
