Meet the Camelot Real Fires Team

After a real busy period designing and making hand-made open fires we delighted to introduce to the Camelot Real Fires team.

Paul Shaw – firstly meet Paul, owner and managing director of Camelot Real Fires. Paul has extensive knowledge and expertise in designing and making open fires and canopies that work after taking over the business from his father in 2010, making Camelot a business a family heritage.

Paul also has specialist knowledge of open fires for thatched properties and he’s a qualified HETAS (Heating Equipment Testing and Approval Scheme UK) installer with many years experience.

Paul loves open fires as you can see from this picture below of Paul with his own fire. So does his dog, Eric!

Dan Raynor-Smith – Dan is the newest member of the team. He’s a qualified blacksmith and brings many other skills to the Camelot Real Fires workshop, and over the last 5 months has made a range of beautiful hand-made fires and bespoke canopies.

Les Day – a very experienced and knowledgeable member of the team with a wide range of skills to do with open fires and chimneys. Les works with Paul on the installation of fires.

Tom Perks – Tom joined the Camelot Real Fires team earlier this year to work on the marketing aspects of the business. He’s done a sterling job improving the mobile user experience of our website and making it easier for you to find us on the internet.

Sally Coombs – Sally runs Camelotassist, our customer contact management scheme, keeping in touch with our past, current and future customers, and she does many other office-related tasks, including this blog!

Sandra Hurst – provides essential book-keeping services for the business
