Changing of the seasons

Our handmade open fires are manufactured to create your desired atmosphere, as well as warm up your home. From the cosy hearth on a rainy day to warmer months where it may be used infrequently, it won’t be a hindrance to the season’s aesthetics. You are free to choose from a range of materials, such as bright, reflective copper and soft matte steel, and then from a smooth and compact style to a tall and more grand statement piece style. It is these design choices that will allow for the creation of the fireplace area and not just your canopy. Accessories such as our bespoke dog irons and fire grates will elevate your canopy to become a statement piece, something that beckons the colder months, sat by the fire with a cup of tea and a book but also in the warmer months a conversation piece and a compliment to the room.

Function and form in equal measure

Fires have a history of being placed in the centre of the room, usually the main room, to provide the most warmth possible from a single appliance, as well as gold-adorned and lavish miniatures being placed in every room of a large stately home. While their appearance was not always prioritised, we now have the luxury to embrace that to its fullest extent with the usage of Twin-Skin thermovents, which adds extra insulation and smoke control within the flute, so that the look of the canopy is not compromised in favour of function. This brings us back to the choices available for our canopies, made by you as the customer, and shaped by your fireplace ideas.
