First and foremost, the team at Camelot would like to wish all of our readers and friends a very happy new year!
After a busy December including three copper fireplace canopies for one customer to be delivered before Christmas, and a lovely break to relax and recharge, we have hit the ground running for 2016 with some exciting projects and new developments.
It’s the time of year that we all start to make plans for the year ahead – some of us are determined not to waste that new gym membership, others might be cutting back on calories or alcohol. We might be planning our summer holidays, taking up a new pastime, or even taking the plunge and starting our own businesses. Some of us might even be looking at the improvements we want to make to our homes in 2016.
Many of Camelot’s existing customers have told us that they resolve to finally make a start with their fireplace renovation or purchase over the festive period. Often they want to get that room lovely and cosy for next Christmas, get a dysfunctional or disused fire back to its former glory, or to add a truly heart-warming and beautiful focal point to their family space. It’s definitely the perfect time to be talking to us here at Camelot – with such a mild Christmas there are plenty of chilly nights to come throughout February and March, perfect evenings to be sat in front of a roaring fire, the pleasing smells and sounds of a crackling wood fire in the fireplace thawing the chill of a bitter winter night outside.

One customer who is on the ball with her new years resolution to get the fire in her 400-year-old thatched cottage sorted has already asked us to install a Thermovent fire in her property at the end of the month. This will deliver a great financial benefit too as the enhanced safety of the Thermovent will actually lower her insurance premiums. Her fire will be installed in the next couple of weeks, so watch out for future updates and photos of this beautiful property, and beautiful fire to match.
